I like to hold myself accountable with my goals. I hate when I say I'm going to do something then completely fall off the wagon and that commitment just dies. One of my new year resolutions was to eat healthy. Honestly, that isn't happening. I do NOT eat healthy at all. I mean have you looked at my instagram lately?
I realize we're a quarter done with the year and, I want to be my best self. Part of that is living healthy. So I'm making an effort to turn it around. The biggest challenge for myself will be my meals. I work crazy hours and rarely have time to sit and breathe. So my weekday meals whatever I can get my hands on and can eat while walking. Hi doughnuts and milkshakes. To hold myself accountable I've created a list of healthy eating goals with my trainer to try to whip myself in shape.
Drink More Water // You'd think this was a no brainer but, more often than not I reach for the coffee than the water and my skin is showing that. So my goal is to limit myself to only three cups of coffee a day (I average six or seven normally) and to work myself up to drinking a gallon a day.
Eat Three Square Meals // Yesterday my breakfast was a handful of blackberries, my lunch was a granola bar, and I ate a grease filled gyro platter for dinner because I was starving and that was the closest thing to me. So if I literally force myself to eat well I won't be motivated
Buy Healthy Food // This goal goes hand in hand with the previous one. If I don't buy Oreos I won't eat Oreos. Since I'm still in school my budget isn't as grand as most. So usually whatever I buy for the week is what I have access to. So I'm hoping stocking up on yummy healthy goods will do the trick.
Limit My Booze // While I'm not a big drinker at all. I do drink a few times a week. And while there's nothing wrong with having a drink after a long day. Those midnight munchies and breakouts do happen whenever I drink. So I want to cut it down to two or three drinks a week vs. two or three nights of drinking.
Anything I might have missed? Anyone else have healthy eating goals?
