Blanket Scarf Outfit
One of my favorite fall trends are blanket scarves! They're warm, cozy and, stylish perfect to wear during that horrendous 8 am and a casual date night. I'm so glad the trend didn't die after last autumn and it's still alive and well!
I love that I can wear blanket scarves in so many different ways. Usually if the fabric is thick I wear them as a shawl or wrap instead of a scarf, like I am for this outfit. My baby sister actually bought this one for me from loft, I like to think I've passed down the good style genes because isn't it cute? I really love how warm it is.
It's really large and can easily double as a real blanket, which I've done multiple times at the library. Haha! I promise you won't get any judgement if you do this. People will be more jealous than anything else.
I paired the scarf with a casual and easy fall outfit. A chambray shirt which is a perfect neutral. It matches with everything, I love pairing mine with colored pants or skirts. I did a half tuck into my absolute favorite favorite white jeans from Levis. I love wearing white denim regardless of the time of year. I love how the white just pops and compliments all the colors in the scarf. And because it's finally feeling like fall, some riding boots! I seriously lucked out because I got these Ralph Lauren boots for under $100 over the summer. I can already tell they're going to be a well worn pair this winter.
I'm not too big of a make up person, but recently I've been getting more and more into it. I have pretty awesome eyebrows naturally so I don't really do much but clean them up every few months but I've found filling them in is a total game changer. I also learned the beauty of a good foundation. I use to just wear tinted moisterizer or a sheer bb cream but after a few bad break out spells and my vitiligo spreading, my dermatologist recommended I try Dermablend. It's high coverage and more expensive than I'm use to paying but, it gets the job done and my skin looks like it did in high school!
All in all, I really think blanket scarves are a great way to add a fun layer to your outfit that's warm and cozy. How much do you love/ hate blanket scarves?
