NYE Outfit Ideas
My favorite holiday this time of year is New Year Eve! I love it because everyone can celebrate it regardless of their belief system, so no one feels left out. It's also a great time to reflect on the old and cheers the new. 2016 has been one crazy year personally for myself and I think the world in general. But more on this, later. Today we're talking all about what to wear for your NYE party!
My personal style is fairly conservative, I don't like tight dresses or outfits that are too revealing. But that doesn't stop me from indulging in some of my favorite trends throwing on some tired an true favorites from my closet. Over the years I've gown obsessed with faux fur, leather is my absolute favorite and, you can't celebrate NYE without some sequins! Here are my three looks for three different nights.
Look One: I scooped this dress from Topshop long ago and it's a dream! The velvet gold makes it the perfect dress for this years NYE, if you have a fun event to attend that night. Last NYE I went to a black tie party and this dress would be perfect for an event such as that. It's the perfect midi length which was this year's big hit. I'd add a glam choker or earrings throw on some heels, this pair from Steve Madden is my favorite. It's 4 inches in height and the simplicity of it let's me pair it with hundreds of different outfits. Depending on where your event is, I'd either wear a leather jacket to toughen up the look of a fluffy faux fur coat for even more glam.
Look Two: The gold sequin leggings make this outfit! They're so fun and a serious show stopper. And they're only $40, such a win! With the pants being so bold, I'd keep my top neutral, with DC being cold as it is, I'd pair it with a black turtleneck or if you live somewhere cooler a simple black long sleeved top would work too. I'm pairing this with some booties and a matching clutch. I'd wear this outfit out to a NYE house party, dinner party, out dancing or, at a bar event.
Look Three: This is my most casual look for NYE but it's still glam and super fun. I'm actually planning on wearing it! Perfect for a more low key night like a casual dinner or house party. I just love wearing leather and the faux leather pants are on constant rotation in my wardrobe during the winter months, NYE is no exception. And the faux fur vest trend is one of my favorites. Slip on a long necklace for some sparkle and throw on some simple shoes heels or booties if it's colder outside and you've got a stylish and trendy outfit for the night.
